How many fans a PC Cabinet have ? I have 1 on the CPU & the other is in the PSU. What is the right temp-PSU ?
I have P4 2.66 ghz system with 2 Hard disks one 80 GB SATA & a 20 GB non Sata. I have two 512 MB RAM’s. One floppy drive, 1 CD writer & a DVD Writer. My system restarts on an average twice a month & i feel that the SATA hard disk is heating up & so does the PSU as i touch them they are hot.
Should i install a new fan ? If yes how ?
Should i change the ATX cabinet or the PSU ?
How to know that there is a problem in PSU ?
If it’s a Dell/HP/Compaq/etc. I guarantee it’s burning up inside. The cases they use are very cramped (cheap) and usually only have a 80mm exhaust fan and a power supply fan. They usually DON’T have room for an intake fan.
Any decent case will have intake and exhaust fans.
