Parellel Dot How to get DOS printing from a dot matrix printer via USB to parallel converter in windowed mode?
Im using Compaq which has no parellel port, so im using a USB to parellel converter to print to dot matrix printer. but can not get a print mode two of that. How can I get two default print mode
I also have 2 new Dell PC that no longer have parallel ports. Fortuntaely one came with a Dell docking station that has a parallel port, but the other I bought a Belkin USB adapter for parallel. It worked well at first, but then I had problems and even Dell Technical Support had no idea. Here are some tips worth trying: (i), sometimes, for some inexplicable reason, not all USB ports Equal and others not, does not recognize the device (I believe) has to take note of reference for all future, (ii) I feel at work, but BELKIN SUPPORT TECHNICAL gave me a full page of step-step instructions on how to make your USB to parallel cable work if my memory is a good start with: Control Panel, GO to the systems and make sure no yellow exclamation mark on USB DEVICES. Next open your PRINTER applicable, down to properties, column 3 or less left is entitled "ports" and make sure the check mark in applicable USB … The BEC I have to stop here for now I'm at work and my HP Laserjet is configured for parallel and have no USB settings in front of me, I hope you can remember to edit this Answer Yahoo when I get home.
