Pos Printer Programming a receipt printer using Visual Basic. NET or Java – is it possible?
I want a receipt printer program to be used in our shop. It is cheaper compared to buying a POS system. I have not bought a printer for receipts. I receipt printers come with their own software to run it. So my main problem is its programmability – Can I use VB or Java to control the printer?
You can probably use Java to control the printer, but I think it would get better control of C / C + +. I guess it all really depends on what printer to get and what the manufacturer API offers.
