I’m looking for the name of a type of fastener. It works kind of like how a lapel pin works, you have a plastic button with barbed pin and you have another button that “catches” the barbed pin and prevents the barb from poking through. Might be used to quickly fasten quilts or blankets. What is it called?? THanks
I don’t think pin backs are quite it, they function similarly though. But what I’m looking for would have more grip and is intended for a semi-permanent application.
Are you thinking of Velcro? You can get this in several different types.
I have seen something similar to Velcro with out the Nylon to the opposite side. Ask about it at a arts and crafts place or where they sell sewing supplies or surgical supply places or office suppliers like staples or office max etc.
There are also magnets that are used to attach id cards of conventioneers that don’t ruin your clothing and can be removed and reused .

Chelsea had the good sense to change Aubree’s last name on the birth certificate and moved on from this dedicated sperm donor and has moved out of her parents’ home and into her own place with her daughter and her best friend. Like any mother, she wants to make the best of things and ensure that Aubree has two parents in her life who love her, but this season will show more drama with IBTOH and her family’s and friends’ increasingly vocal concerns about her banishing IBTOH from her life for her and Aubree’s sake. The season will also document Chelsea’s struggle to motivate herself to go back to school to earn her diploma online and pursue her dream of enrolling in beauty school.
This season will continue to document Jenelle’s struggle to balance motherhood with being a teenager, as shown in her episode of 16 and Pregnant. She is reluctant to put her young life on hold indefinitely and goes out with friends frequently, leaving her son Jace in the care of her mother, Barbara, with whom she has a troubled, rocky relationship. She ignores Barbara’s demands she stay home to be more of a mother to Jace and even her friends started to voice their own concerns with this. I’m going to go out on a limb here and note that when your teenage girlfriends tell you your not being enough of a mother, you’re probably doing something wrong. Barbara so strongly believes Jenelle isn’t a responsible enough mother that she sues Jenelle for custody of Jace. Jenelle, realizing she cannot possibly afford (in more ways than in the financial sense) to stand up to Barb in court, agrees to sign over temporary custody while she gets her life back on track. She enrolls in college classes, tries to support herself financially, and finds a new romance with some dude unfortunately named Keiffer. The season will show her battling Barbara to be allowed to spend time with her son and keep a roof over her head.
Kailyn is a sweet teenager and serious student who has had led a very troubled life. Her father left when she was a baby and she and her mom have struggled since. When her mother, Suzi, and Suzi’s boyfriend are forced to live in a hotel, Kailyn finds support in her boyfriend Jo and his family, who offer to take her in to live with them. Jo’s mom Janet becomes a second mother to Kailyn and all seems to have taken a path for the positive. Aaaaaaand then Kailyn got pregnant. She remains determined to make a life for herself through education, takes her SATs, graduated a semester early and intends to attend college to become a dental hygienist.
The two fight constantly, but all the while Corey continues his dedication to her and their family. Leah, on the other hand, cheats on Corey with her ex-boyfriend Robbie who, when she and Corey break up, stops returning her phone calls. Naturally Leah realizes the mess she made and that she can’t live without Corey’s financial support. Her story is complicated further by the fact that their twin girls, Aliannah and Aleeah, were born prematurely after only six months of pregnancy. She and the doctors do everything possible to avoid labor so early, but it’s unavoidable. Aliannah weighs 3lbs 11oz and Aleeah weighs 3lbs 13oz. Although they’re healthy, they are premature and have to be taken to intensive care immediately. They are three weeks old when Leah and Corey are able to take them home.
I’ve been increasingly more open about my fascination with Teen Mom and this season promises to be full of the stark and oftentimes sad reality these new families face.
