my baby is 7 weeks and sometimes when milk will come to your neck, and if I use a bib, or clean immediately or hold a cloth in his mouth, nothing seems to work to avoid fueling all gross in there. I try to wash your face and keep dry, but its horrible. its so red and start beating and now starting to get smelly. but she will not let me in the neck. What can I do to prevent it from getting worse?
Yes .. definitely can be a problem .. I know! My baby is now 3 months old and struggling to keep milk and other junkettes from under its folds all little (has a double chin at the moment so it is extra hard!) I was worried about the redness and bumps and the smell that would develop so I called the pediatrician and told I could use the cream for diaper rash in the folds to help with the irritation. I was instructed to apply it thick in the neck of every fold. Within a few days the irritation was gone. Periodically I realize that I start to come back and reapply the cream diaper rash. If you do nothing the matter, according to my pediatrician, a fungus that can develop and then requires a prescription ointment or possibly oral antibiotics to get rid of! So now keep a close watch on their. neck Good luck!
