How can I remove wine stains from a marble table top?
I have a marble table top but has rings and spots on glasses wine. How do I remove and bring it to its original condition again?
Things You'll Need: sponge cloth tape wrapping Poultices plastic cotton balls Instructions Step 1 Clean the marble with a soft sponge. Run the sponge with warm water and squeeze out excess water until the sponge is just damp. Gently rub the marble and dry with a soft cloth. Step 2 Use a poultice (paper or powder material used to absorb the stain), if simple cleaning does not remove the stain. A poultice can be made with hake powder and hydrogen peroxide, depending on the stain, a chemical reductant. Step 3 Make a poultice and prepare for implementation. If you are using as a poultice powder is mixed with the stain-removing chemicals to the consistency of peanut butter. If you using the paper as a poultice, immersion in the stain-removing chemicals. Step 4 Dampen the stain with distilled water. This will fill the porous surface marble and isolate the stain removing chemicals. Step 5 Apply the poultice to the stained area and cover the stain with plastic wrap. Tape edges down to seal the plaster on the marble colors. Step 6 Let the plaster dry the whole way. This will allow the poultice to pull the stain on the marble. Step 7 Remove the poultice from the stain of a water rinse and dry with a cloth. Apply the poultice again if the stain was not removed.
