Can I use an image banner in 5 Megapixel for photoshops?
I am a novice in Photoshop, anyway, I participate in a design competition flag (banner size 4m x 1m) … The only image I think is appropriate to put in the banner is a photo captured by my Nokia phone (5 megapixels) …. what can the photo is used? … going to be horrible and super-ugly after printing? … or even acceptable? (when I just want to have a flag base, not a high quality one ….)
Sensors on mobile phone cameras are very small in comparison with a point-and-shoot camera and very small compared to a DSLR. That is their limiting factor, not megapixels. So we're not dealing with a high quality picture in the first place. You can do exploit the size of banner banners because they are designed to be viewed from a distance. Up close, the picture does not look good. From a distance, it will be OK, but not great.
